Pillai and sons motor company is a family owned and operated by the company which has been associated with Maruti Suzuki for the past 20 years. Pillai and sons motor company began its association with automobiles more than 30 years back in 1982 by selling LML Vespa scooters in Madras. The company was founded by Mr.G.Nagapillai who had his roots in agriculture and grocery business. In 1998 the company began selling Maruti Suzuki cars in Thanjavur and has since then expanded into 3 major cities (Chennai, Trichy, and Thanjavur) with 25 different points of presence. The company is currently guided by Mr .N.Srinivasan, who has been involved with the company since inception and managed by Mr. Ganesh Ranjan and Mr. Karthik Srinivasan who represents the third generation of the family.
